The Allianz Arts & Business NI Awards took place recently in the Ulster Hall, Belfast with a glittering ceremony.
Mark Revels, a local artist, was the responsible for designing the sculpted pieces delivered to the winners. The event showcased examples of
excellence and the delivery of tangible business benefits with winning partnerships coming from across the range of Northern Ireland business and arts sectors.
The audience enjoyed electric performances by DU Dance (NI), Square Pit, Ulster Orchestra (Brass), NI Opera and Sinéad Morrissey, Poet Laureate for
Belfast and recent winner of the prestigious T.S. Eliot Prize. ”I would encourage the businesses here tonight who have yet to partner with the arts
sector to use this opportunity to learn of the many benefits that collaboration can bring and to consider how this can help your business prosper”, said
the Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister Arlene Foster.
Business of the Year Award was presented to Edwards & Co, Solicitors, a new category in recent years. Millennium Forum Theatre & Conference Centre scooped the coveted Arts Award which is accompanied by a cash prize of £3,000. A special award was presented to AES in recognition of the incredible journey they have been on with the arts over a short two year period.
